Sarah Rice

Registered Massage Therapist

Sarah would like to acknowledge and express gratitude that she is a visitor on the traditional unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation.

Sarah is a graduate of the Massage Therapy program at the West Coast College. She completed her program in 2019 and has, since then, been growing her practice in Victoria, BC.

Sarah looks forward to exploring more of the island and becoming a part of the community in Nanaimo. Living on the West Coast, she holds particular interest in geocaching, hiking, long distance running, cycling and rock climbing. Sarah played competitive soccer throughout her younger and early adult years which allows her to relate to performance based training as well as sport specific injuries in her RMT practice.

With the use of manual techniques Sarah aims to improve and restore function and movement in patients. Her treatments focus on addressing patterns of pain and levels of dysfunction and getting the patient involved in their treatment plan and accompanied home care. Sarah strives to establish a treatment environment that is respectful, inclusive and supportive. She is dedicated to providing evidence-based care and taking on new opportunities for growth in this field while continuing to help patients reach their goals.

Sarah has had experience treating various conditions which include but are not limited to: plantar fasciitis, thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS), frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), spinal cord and brain injury with accompanied mobility issues, lumbar disc herniations/prolapses, sciatica, reconstructive knee surgeries and common sprains and strains.
