Does Prime only work with Athletes?

Absolutely not! We believe that Performance is for All of us. Regardless if you are an office worker, trades person, nurse, teacher – we can help you get in shape, feel better about yourself and perform better in whatever you do!

What types of services do you provide?

We offer Physiotherapy, Chiropractic , Registered Massage Therapy, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Personal Training, Group Training, Team Training, V02 Max testing, firefighter testing and more!

Are you able to direct bill to ICBC for Motor Vehicle Accidents?

YES! We are able to direct bill all of our Clinical Practitioner services to ICBC.

How do I book in to see one of your therapists?

Physio, Chiro, and Massage, can all be booked through our easy to use JaneApp booking service. Click here to be taken to our booking portal.

Im interested in working out at your facility do you sell GYM memberships and how do they work?

YES! We do offer memberships, but we have limited the amount of members we have at any given time. Please contact our staff for availability.

Memberships can be purchased month to month, or we can set-up convenient cost saving 3,6 or 12-month pre-authorized payment plans.

Are you able to direct bill to 3rd party health insurers?

As of now, we can direct bill for most plans for Chiropractic, Massage Therapy. Many health plans cover Kinesiology and can be submitted by the client to their insurer. We recommend you contact your provider for confirmation.

I coach / manage / organize a sports team. Can we train at Prime‘?

Absolutely! Our staff is experienced in working with some of the Island’s top teams. We can create a customized program to get the team peaking at the right times, avoid injury and without experiencing “burn out”. Contact us now and we can start working on your program!

What about amateur teams. can you help us too?

Of course, we work with many parent organized groups who want to get their kids training above and beyond what is offered through their team.

How does Prime differ from other clinics?

We offer a unique client first approach. Our multidisciplinary clinic means that our clients have access to some of the top practitioners in their field. Since they are all under one roof, our practitioners are able to refer to each other, as well as share experiences and insights with each other creating for a more uniformed approach with our clients.

Im interested in taking part in one of your group sessions. Do I have to commit before starting? How does payment work?

We offer a 1-time free drop-in session to any of our Prime’ Programs. If you like what you’ve experienced (and we are confident you will), we offer attractive pricing and accommodating payment options. Ask our Front Desk staff for more details regarding the particular program you are interested in.

What is the difference between an Athletic Therapists and a Physiotherapist?

Athletic therapists specialize in conditions related to muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones. ATs focus on anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, resistance training, exercise physiology and sport psychology. Physiotherapists have a broader scope tending to patients with cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological issues.

If I do not live in Nanaimo, how can I get a training plan specific to my needs and or sport?

We now have a Prime’ mobile app program, we usually suggest either coming into Prime’ to do the initial assessment, or we are able to provide this initial session via telehealth. From the initial assessment our Kinesiologists or certified strength and conditioning specialists will create a program delivered to your phone via our app program tailored to your specific needs.

Do you work with teams outside of the clinic?

Yes, our clinicians in particular our Athletic Therapist has worked with a myriad of teams and professions outside the clinic. We have done everything from working with teams during their practices, games or tournaments, to working with endurance and Olympic weightlifting events.
